[Hiring] Technical Training Senior Advisor, Content Design and Developer @Cigna Healthcare

Role Description

The Learning & Development Content Design and Developer plays a critical role in transforming complex concepts into engaging, high-impact learning experiences that enable Sales and Account Management professionals to perform at their best. This role collaborates closely with subject matter experts (SMEs), instructional designers, and business partners to design, develop, and deliver scalable, interactive learning solutions that align to Evernorth’s Learning & Development strategy and standards.

The ideal candidate combines performance-driven learning design, strong technical authoring skills, and a robust understanding of adult learning principles to create digital content that drives measurable behavior change and business results.

Key Responsibilities

• Content Design & Development:
  • Design end-to-end learning solutions that apply adult learning theory, performance consulting, and learner experience design.
  • Develop design blueprints and storyboards that are clear, scalable, and visually aligned with brand standards.
  • Develop high-quality, interactive digital learning assets (eLearning, microlearning, videos, simulations, and job aids).
  • Create modular and reusable content that supports both formal and in-the-flow learning.
  • Partner with SMEs to ensure content accuracy, business relevance, and alignment with identified learning objectives.
• Digital Learning Experience Enablement:
  • Translate curriculum and design needs into digital experiences that are functional and intuitive.
  • Ensure learning assets are published correctly and consistently across platforms.
  • Support broader L&D team by advising on platform capability, navigation, and digital flow.
  • Partner with Learning Data & Analytics to ensure reporting structures reflect platform-based engagement.
• Collaboration & Alignment:
  • Partner with the Curriculum Design & Experience team to maintain consistency in visual identity and learner experience.
  • Work closely with the Training Operations team to ensure proper version control and accessibility compliance.
  • Collaborate with the Learning Data & Analytics team to measure learning effectiveness and improve content.
• Continuous Improvement:
  • Stay current on learning technology trends, tools, and best practices.
  • Recommend innovative delivery formats and design approaches that enhance learner engagement.
  • Participate in peer reviews and maintain quality assurance across all deliverables.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience designing and developing digital learning content, preferably for a sales or client-facing audience.
• Proven expertise with eLearning authoring tools (Articulate 360, WellSaid, Vyond, Adobe Creative Suite, Camtasia, or similar).
• Strong understanding of adult learning theory, instructional design methodologies, and microlearning strategies.
• Familiarity with ADDIE, learning journeys, and digital-first training strategies.
• Experience working in collaborative, agile environments with cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with Allego, SuccessFactors LMS, SharePoint, or other learning management and enablement technologies preferred.
