[Hiring] Surface Preparation and Paint Application for Shipboard Organizational Level Corrosion Control Instructor @AMPP

Also, you will have the opportunity to introduce yourself and tell us why you are interested in becoming an AMPP instructor by recording a 2-minute video. To do this, you will need access to a video camera on your PC or you can upload a pre-recorded video created from another device.

Requirements

Shipboard Instructor Requirements

• Certification and Experience
  • 4 years' work experience within the past 6 years with hand and power tool surface preparation methods and brush and roller coating application methods in the following environments: marine, navy or other critical immersion services (e.g., inspection/auditing; failure analysis; condition surveys; specification preparation)
  • 4 years hands-on knowledge of hand/power and brush/roller equipment
• Education
  • Must meet one of the following:
    • High School Graduate/GED with an additional 10 years’ work experience
    • 4 Year Diploma
    • Professional Engineer
    • Advanced Education (Master’s or PhD)
  • Course Level Mastery
    • Must have taken the course and passed any applicable exam.
• AMPP Membership
  • Must hold an active membership to apply.
• Personal References
  • 3 references from a past supervisor, current or former colleague, and/or personal friend (non-relative). Names, email, and phone number of references must be entered on the application.
• Additional Information
  • Preference will be given to applicants with technical expertise and prior teaching experience.
