Role Description

Join the UK's Largest STEM Volunteering Programme – Make a National Impact!

We're looking for an experienced Programme Coordinator with working knowledge of public engagement within the UK Higher Education sector to shape and deliver high-impact outreach initiatives as part of the STEM Ambassador Programme.

In this newly created dual role, reporting to the STEM Ambassadors National Programmes Lead, the HE and National Programmes Coordinator will:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with UK Higher Education Institutions to grow the number of student and university staff STEM Ambassadors.
• Develop new Higher Education partnerships to create sustainable long-term initiatives to showcase research and innovation to young people.
• Manage a range of schemes and communication channels for research and innovation for STEM Ambassadors.
• Develop and pilot new programmes for STEM Ambassadors, to become part of our National offer.
• Use data and insights to identify needs, best practice and new opportunities, using evaluation and reporting to tell impactful stories.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver exceptional outcomes for young people.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge and experience of public engagement in the Higher Education sector.
• Proven experience in developing and delivering innovative education or outreach programmes for young people involving universities and/or businesses.
• Strong project management skills – able to juggle multiple complex initiatives and deliver to time and budget.
• A robust understanding of STEM education, the UK skills and careers agenda, and the education landscape.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with the confidence to connect and champion opportunities.
