Role Description

The Speech and Language Pathologist is responsible for delivering speech and language services and completing evaluations of students (TK-12) for consideration of special education service related to speech and communication needs.

• Develops speech and language goals for students with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) within various public education settings.
• Participates in IEP meetings.
• Consults with IEP teams and school staff at the general education level.
• Participates in the RtI/SST process.
• Conducts IEP compliance reviews.
• Participates in regularly scheduled meetings with the Special Education department team.
• Provides in-service trainings on the role of speech and language therapy.
• Provides consultation to parents as required.

Qualifications

• Certification (CA Speech and Language Pathologist License)
• Copy of Transcript (Master's Degree transcript. Unofficial is acceptable.)
• CPR/First Aid Certification
• Letter of Introduction
• Letter(s) of Recommendation (Current letters of recommendation. Within 1 year. At least one from an immediate supervisor.)
