Role Description

Charlotte Public Schools is seeking a qualified Special Education Teacher to provide virtual homebound instructional services for a student requiring 2 to 5 hours of instruction per week. Instruction must take place outside of standard school hours.

Qualifications

• Valid State of Michigan Teaching Certificate with Special Education endorsement
• Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and maintain schedule flexibility outside school hours

Requirements

• Deliver direct specialized instruction virtually to an assigned homebound student
• Coordinate with classroom teachers and special education staff to align instruction with the student's IEP goals and general curriculum
• Maintain accurate records of instructional time, student attendance, and academic progress
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding session scheduling and student performance
