Role Description

Passionate Educators are needed at the Stride K12 partner school, Carolus Online Academy (COA). We want you to be a part of our talented team!

The Academic Success Coach supports student retention by providing non-instructional intervention and support to students in grades 6-12. This individual is responsible for:

• Working with students and parents to identify online learning strengths and areas for improvement.
• Providing excellent customer service.
• Ensuring student improvement through intervention strategies.
• Monitoring, tracking, and addressing the needs of the students regarding online learning success factors.
• Building and maintaining relationships with students and parents.

The duties of the Academic Success Coach are fulfilled remotely.

Essential Functions:

• Analyzes student strengths and challenges as identified in the online learner profile and delivers targeted intervention to drive student success.
• Conducts orientation sessions for students and learning coaches; educates on system navigation techniques.
• Monitors student academic progress and adjusts intervention programs as needed.
• Conducts small group online Student and Parent Resource Sessions on academic topics.
• Maintains regular contact and meetings with students and families via various communication methods.
• Provides timely responses to all communications from students, staff, and parents.
• Distributes daily and weekly TotalView communiqués containing important school-level reminders.
• Communicates student progress and concerns to the Department Head on a weekly basis.
• Facilitates student changes such as program changes, withdraws, and re-enrollment activities.
• Participates in staff meetings and professional development sessions.
• Assists with student network and community efforts as directed.

Qualifications

• Associate degree AND 2 or more years customer service experience.
• Experience working with children or youth.
• Demonstrated proficiency in using online tools and applications.
• Professional verbal and writing skills.
• Comfortable with online and telephone communication with customers.
• Ability to pass required background check.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree (desired).
• Tutoring experience or experience as a school or classroom aid (desired).
