Role Description
The National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG) serves as the national advocate to mitigate gambling-related harm. Our vision is to advance well-being by minimizing harm from problem gambling. We are looking for a mission-driven education leader to lead NCPG's growing portfolio of training, accreditation, and professional development programs.
Reporting to the Executive Director, this remote role expands NCPG's educational footprint by:

Developing high-quality learning resources, professional training, webinars, digital learning products, and social media education.

Assuming leadership of NCPG's current Responsible Gambling program.

Overseeing accreditation and certification activities, including the National Problem Gambling Helpline Network Accreditation Program and the Internet Compliance Assessment Program (iCAP).

As Senior Manager, Education, Accreditation & Development, you will own the strategy and execution behind everything NCPG does to train, certify, and educate professionals and the public.

Build & Grow Educational Programs:
Develop curricula, toolkits, workforce training programs, and educational resources that keep pace with the field. Lead conference education tracks and ensure content stays current and evidence-informed.

Lead Webinars, Podcasts & Digital Learning:
Manage NCPG's webinar calendar, podcast programming, and online learning initiatives. Coordinate presenters and production vendors and track engagement to improve continuously.

Drive Responsible Gambling Initiatives:
Lead NCPG's Responsible Gambling program. Develop and update professional tools and resources while partnering with industry stakeholders, researchers, clinicians, and people with lived experience.

Oversee Accreditation & Certification:
Administer and grow NCPG's accreditation programs β including the National Problem Gambling Helpline Network Accreditation Program and iCAP β managing standards, compliance tracking, reviewer coordination, and quality assurance.

Expand Partnerships & Expert Networks:
Build relationships with universities, healthcare organizations, professional associations, and regulators. Cultivate a national network of subject matter experts and content contributors.

Support Growth & Sustainability:
Partner with the Development team on grant proposals and funding opportunities. Explore training, certification, and sponsorship revenue streams aligned with our mission.

Amplify Educational Reach:
Collaborate with Communications to grow NCPG's educational social media presence and increase visibility for our programs, webinars, and training resources.
Qualifications

Bachelorβs degree in Education, Public Health, Behavioral Health, Communications, Instructional Design, Nonprofit Management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in education, training, accreditation, certification, workforce development, responsible gambling, behavioral health, public health, or a related field.

Demonstrated experience developing educational resources, training programs, webinars, online learning, presentations, or professional development initiatives.

Experience managing complex projects, multiple deadlines, and diverse stakeholder groups.

Strong written, verbal, facilitation, presentation, and relationship-management skills.

Experience contributing to grant-funded programs, grant proposals, partnerships, or organizational growth initiatives.

Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.

Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a remote environment.

Experience managing projects and stakeholders across geographically dispersed teams.

Experience facilitating virtual meetings, webinars, trainings, and collaborative projects.

Remote working environment experience is a must.

Ability to travel for the NCPG Annual Conference (currently held mid to late July), the early December winter staff retreat, and additional conference and educational events as needed.
Requirements

Master's degree in a related field (preferred).

Background in problem gambling, addiction, behavioral health, prevention, treatment, or recovery services (preferred).

Experience managing accreditation, certification, or quality-assurance programs (preferred).

Familiarity with learning management systems, webinar platforms, or podcast production (preferred).

Experience developing continuing education or professional certification programs (preferred).

Knowledge of AIRS, ICH, AAS, ICAP, or similar accreditation frameworks (preferred).

Prior experience in a national nonprofit or association setting (preferred).
Physical Requirements

Prolonged periods of working on a computer.

Must be able to travel.

Ability to participate in conference, educational, and partnership events.

Physical effort including standing, pushing, and lifting up to 35 pounds for work at conferences and exhibition events.
Work Environment

Remote position with periodic travel for conferences, stakeholder meetings, and Board meetings.

Some evening and weekend work may be required based on events.
Location
This is a fully remote position. Candidates must be available to maintain a minimum of six hours of overlap with standard East Coast business hours to support collaboration with staff, partners, and stakeholders across the organization.
Salary & Benefits
