Role Description
As the Senior Director of AI-Enabled Instruction, Math, you will lead the national strategy of Leading Educators' groundbreaking approach to integrating AI into math curriculum support, coaching, and instructional leadership across multiple district partnerships. This is not a role confined to theoryβyou'll be translating emerging AI tools and practices into powerful, instructionally sound strategies that directly accelerate student learning.

Manage a team of three Directors of AI-Enabled Instruction, Math, ensuring fidelity to Leading Educators' model while fostering localized innovation.

Lead Year 2 of the Math AI Impact Network, a research pilot designed to test the impact of AI-enabled professional learning on math instruction and student outcomes.

Scale work across three established district partnerships and new sites participating in a randomized control trial.

Ensure research integrity, study fidelity, and robust data collection systems are core to your success.

Bridge the gap between vision and implementation, understanding that powerful innovations happen at the intersection of rigorous research and real-world execution.

Collaborate with district and system leaders to align scopes of work with broader instructional priorities.

Monitor progress through evaluation strategies and scale bright spots that blend technology and pedagogy to advance student success.

Lead ongoing implementation and design next-generation pilots in AI-enabled math.
Qualifications

Expertise in leading research-driven pilots or innovation initiatives with a focus on learning and organizational impact.

Deep knowledge of math content, adult learning design, and content-based teacher development.

Familiarity with AI-powered tools in education.

Ability to build and sustain trusting relationships across diverse stakeholders.

Experience in coaching and developing others.

Proficiency in using implementation data and continuous improvement routines.

Skill in identifying signals in the field and designing pilots that test original hypotheses.
Requirements

At least 10 years of leadership experience in a school, school system, or education nonprofit organization.

Demonstrated success leading a team and managing distributed leadership across multiple sites.

Deep knowledge and successful application of standards-based instruction and math curriculum implementation.

Strong planning, project management, and strategic decision-making skills.

Experience leading professional learning and supporting systemic instructional improvement at scale.

Comfort navigating ambiguity and leading in complex contexts.

Familiarity with integrating AI into coherent district support models.

Base salary range is $127,487 to $172,483 per year, with a standard starting salary of $149,985.
