Role Description
As a Secondary Teacher of Mathematics, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional virtual education to secondary students. This position requires experience and knowledge in Mathematics but also a deep understanding of virtual teaching methodologies, technology integration, and the ability to inspire and engage students in an online setting.

Develop and adapt curriculum materials that align with state standards and cater to the diverse learning styles and needs of virtual students.

Foster a positive and inclusive online learning environment, implementing effective strategies for student engagement, participation, and behavior management.

Utilize innovative and interactive teaching methods to deliver engaging math lessons, incorporating multimedia resources, discussion forums, and collaborative activities during live sessions.

Participate in live learning sessions, in addition to preparing recorded learning activities, for all students, with support from the designated Department Chair.

Design, administer, and assess student assignments, projects, and exams.

Provide timely and constructive feedback to guide students in their academic progress.

Offer additional support and resources to students who may require extra assistance, ensuring that all learners have the opportunity to succeed.

Maintain regular communication with parents and guardians, providing updates on student progress, addressing concerns, and collaborating on strategies to support student success.

Stay informed about best practices in online education, math curriculum developments, and virtual teaching methodologies.

Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.

Requirements

Bachelorβs degree from an accredited university is required.

Valid Texas teaching certificate with endorsements in Mathematics or related training and work experience for certification waivers under the District of Innovation Plan (DOI).
