Role Description

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degrees or a teaching credential is a plus.
• Ability and willingness to teach a wide range of science courses (Earth, Physical, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Astronomy, Earth Space, Anatomy & Physiology, Marine Biology, & Zoology), following content standards — curriculum and resources provided.
• Experience working with students, including those with learning differences, neurodiversity, accelerated learning needs, and/or mental health challenges.
• Mentoring experience and a passion for social-emotional learning.
• Outgoing, adaptable, and eager to thrive in a dynamic, student-centered environment.
• Skilled with technology, curious about innovation, and open to learning new tools.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• A growth mindset with the flexibility to pivot and problem-solve as needed.
• Florida residents require level 2 background screening through this link .
• Experience teaching Advanced Placement Science courses with demonstrated student success on the College Board AP Exam (AP Biology, AP Environmental, AP Chemistry, AP Physics 1) highly preferred.

Requirements

• Maintain a minimum of 24 hours of availability per week paired across Monday/Wednesday and Tuesday/Thursday.
• Friday hours are also encouraged.
• Current needs are early morning, daytime, and evening availability.

Pay Range

USD $28.00 - USD $28.00 /Hr.
