Role Description

The School Psychologist provides comprehensive psycho-educational evaluation, counseling, consultation, and behavioral support services exclusively through secure, compliant digital platforms. This role supports Legacy Traditional Schools by:

• Identifying students’ academic, behavioral, and emotional needs.
• Interpreting assessment data.
• Guiding multidisciplinary teams in eligibility decisions and intervention planning.
• Providing individual and group counseling services as appropriate.

The psychologist collaborates remotely with educators, families, and administrators across multiple campuses to support Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), provide Section 504 consultation, contribute to threat assessment and crisis response processes, and ensure equitable access to services. All services are delivered in compliance with IDEA, FERPA, and state requirements within a fully remote environment.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of cognitive, academic, and social-emotional development.
• Expert knowledge of psycho-educational assessment instruments and interpretation techniques.
• Proficiency in test administration, data analysis, eligibility determination, and IEP development.
• Ability to conduct virtual observations, functional behavioral assessments (FBA), and environmental analyses using remote protocols.
• Strong analytical, diagnostic, and written communication skills.
• Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly to diverse audiences.
• Strong organizational and time management skills while managing complex caseloads across multiple campuses in a remote environment.
• Comprehensive understanding of special education laws, including IDEA, Section 504, and Child Find requirements.
• Commitment to professional ethics and culturally responsive psychological services.
• Advanced proficiency with teleassessment tools, digital service platforms, and secure data systems.
• Thorough understanding of teleassessment validity standards, remote testing limitations, and best practices for virtual service delivery.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Education or School Psychology (Educational Specialist degree or higher preferred).
• Valid state-specific certification or credential authorizing service as a School Psychologist in the state(s) where services are provided.
• Must successfully pass a criminal history background check in accordance with applicable state and organizational requirements.
