Role Description
The Registration Manager has primary responsibilities in managing training and compliance with CIEE Academic Policies and registration-related procedures. The Registration Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of all training sessions and materials related to academic policies and procedures. In addition, the Registration Manager is accountable for the management of a team of Registration Coordinators supporting study abroad programs. The Registration Manager contributes as part of the greater Registration team in support of the strategic initiatives of the Academic Affairs Department, in alignment with the CIEE Strategic Plan.

Manage the development and implementation of specialized, registration-related materials and procedures needed for registration and course selection operations; ensure alignment with CIEE academic policies.

Manage the student course selection process and the generation of schedules for advising portfolios.

Manage strategic development, training, and oversight of all Academic Affairs processes related to courses and academic policies and procedures.

Manage a team of Registration Coordinators, overseeing the timeliness, integrity, and accuracy of course-related data administration and reporting for registration and grades processing.

Supervise Registration Coordinators on administrative tasks associated with the grade appeal process and serve as a member of the CIEE Academic Appeals Committee.

Train Registration and other CIEE teams on the application of existing and new policies and procedures.

Perform regular analysis of existing policies and make recommendations to the Registrar for improvements and additions.

Ensure the creation and dissemination of training modules and reference materials for all relevant academic resources.

Develop and assist with the delivery of registration and grades-related training materials for CIEE US and overseas staff.

Assist with the review and development of Marketing and web materials related to registration and courses.

Work closely with the Registrar and other Registration team members to:

Create and implement workflow efficiencies and ever-improving mechanisms for cross- and intra-departmental cooperation and communication, to appropriately manage and maintain academic policy compliance and standards.

Create systems for placing, tracking, and managing expectations for related requests.

Communicate progress on team projects.

Collaborate on solutions to any workflow or team-to-team communication issues.

Support improving the student and resident staff user experience in the course registration system.

Respond in a timely manner to all questions, issues, problems, and/or needs of Registration team members and CIEE Portland and/or site staff related to the job duties as outlined.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree.

A minimum of four (4) years of related full-time administrative experience within a college or University Registrar’s office, or within a study abroad office required.

Prior experience within a study abroad provider organization is preferred.

A minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience with leading projects or management is preferred.
