Role Description

We are seeking a Regional Assistant Director, Nashville, Tennessee in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions who will be based in the Nashville, TN area and responsible for recruiting and conducting application review from the greater Southeast region for the first year and transfer admission to the Krieger School of Arts and Sciences and the Whiting School of Engineering. In this role, the Admissions Officer serves as a public-facing ambassador for the Office of Undergraduate Admissions and Johns Hopkins University. The position will involve in-person and virtual recruitment, as well as some projects across the office which may include:

• Working with student volunteer groups
• Assisting with office programs
• Responding to and working with prospective students and families
• Engaging university partners

This position requires up to eight to twelve weeks of off-campus travel a year. Some evening/weekend work required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree
• One year of related experience
• Additional education may substitute for required experience and additional related experience may substitute for required education beyond a high school diploma/graduation equivalent, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate effectively with prospective students, parents, secondary school counselors, faculty, and other university partners
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, independently and as part of a team
• Demonstrates the utmost level of professionalism with both internal and external constituents
• Knowledge of standard office software applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Ability to travel extensively and work nights and weekends as needed

Benefits

• Starting Salary Range: $49,200 - $86,200 Annually ($65K - $72K targeted; Commensurate w/exp.)

• Schedule: Mon - Fri / 09:00am - 05:00pm (required to be on campus, in Baltimore, a few times a year for training and events)
