[Hiring] Regional Admissions Counselor @North Hennepin Community College

Role Description

The primary purpose is to recruit prospective students through management of an assigned market recruitment area. Recruitment responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• High school visits
• Career fairs
• Community presentations
• Special events
• Assisting in other outreach activities as assigned

The Regional Admissions Counselor will reside in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area, with occasional travel to the campus for trainings and events as needed. Extensive day-time travel within the assigned territory is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus one year of professional experience in a related field or two years of professional experience or an equivalent combination of post-secondary training, education and/or professional experience
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Public presentation skills
• Valid driver’s license

Requirements

• Prior full-time or undergraduate work study experience in a university admissions office
• Prior experience working remotely
• Familiar with Twin Cities Metro area, specifically the high schools and Community Based Organizations in that area
• Experience of working with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool, Slate, or other sales-related software
• Knowledge of higher education and experience working with prospective college students
