Role Description
As a Principal Assessment Designer, you'll lead the design of high-impact, research-aligned assessment experiences. You'll serve as a subject matter expert, mentor teams, and drive innovation in digital learning. You'll collaborate across functions to ensure our assessment solutions meet the highest standards of quality and impact.

Manage and oversee the design of high-quality, research-aligned assessment products, programs, and experiences through cross-functional collaboration with product, research, and engineering teams.

Maintain and share subject matter expertise, translating educational research and evidence, evidence-centered design, the measurement sciences, and relevant policy frameworks into actionable design strategies.

Provide expert guidance to establish logic models, research- and evidence-bases, and assessment design frameworks, mentor peers, and guide best practices across teams.

Establish credibility of Edmentum assessment design through engagement of external advisory committees, participation and leadership of industry, academic, and practitioner convenings, and contribution to Edmentum corporate communications and product marketing.

Drive continuous improvement through data analysis and feedback.

Lead innovation in digital assessment experiences and contribute to strategic design initiatives that advance organizational goals.
Qualifications

You have a master's or doctoral degree in the measurement sciences, education, instructional design, or related field, or commensurate experience.

You have 7 or more years of experience in assessment design or a related field.

You are an expert in assessment design principles and measurement science.

You lead complex projects and influence cross-functional teams.

You mentor and coach multiple teams.

You have experience presenting at and participating in external councils and convenings.

You are a strategic thinker and strong communicator.

You are data-driven and focused on improving learning outcomes.

You are familiar with digital learning platforms and tools.
