[Hiring] Payroll, Accounting & Finance Instructor @Keyin College

Role Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join Keyin College as a full-time instructor while playing an important role in preparing our Accounting and Payroll programs for the upcoming academic year.

• Support the review, development, and enhancement of curriculum, lesson plans, assessments, presentations, and other course materials in preparation for the Fall 2026 semester.
• Deliver engaging instruction in Accounting, Payroll, and Finance courses beginning in September 2026.
• Support students through coaching, mentorship, and academic guidance.
• Develop and update learning activities and assessments to ensure content remains current and engaging.
• Collaborate with academic leadership and faculty teams to strengthen program quality and student outcomes.
• Evaluate student performance and provide timely, constructive feedback.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and course outcomes.
• Stay current with changes in accounting standards, payroll legislation, taxation, and industry best practices.
• Assist in ensuring program content remains relevant, practical, and workforce-focused.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Payroll Administration, or a related field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
• Combination of education and professional experience equivalent to six (6) years.
• Current industry experience in accounting, payroll, bookkeeping, finance, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of Canadian accounting principles, payroll legislation, taxation, financial reporting, and business practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and support adult learners.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Comfort using technology for instruction, including Microsoft Office and learning management systems.
• Experience with accounting and payroll software (such as Sage 50, QuickBooks, or similar platforms) is considered an asset.
• Prior teaching, training, facilitation, curriculum development, or instructional experience is considered an asset.
• Professional designations such as Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP), Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), or Certified Professional Bookkeeper (CPB) are considered assets.
