Role Description

PDP 1660: Français langue seconde - PART I

• Study the theoretical foundations and programs of basic, intensive, or immersion French as a second language.
• Analyze teaching strategies and assessment methods according to student development.
• Raise teachers' awareness of the importance of an inclusive, equitable, and safe learning environment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in education.
• Specialist qualification recognized by the College of Teacher of Ontario.
• Recent experience as a full-time teacher in a school or in administration within a school board.
• Two years of experience implementing the Ontario Curriculum in the relevant subject area.
• Confirmation of updated qualifications in education, particularly in the relevant subject area.
• Ability to apply Ethical Standards and Standards of Practice in the Teaching Profession.

Requirements

• Salary will be based on student enrolment.
• An acceptable level of education/experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.

Benefits

• The hourly rate varies, depending on the enrolments and subjected to acquired rights: $113 & $218.10 (2024-2025).
• These rates do not include vacation pay nor statutory pay.
• These rates will be applied until a new collective agreement is ratified. Retro will be paid after the ratification.
