Role Description
Study of cinema aesthetics and works by major directors (e.g. Lang, Riefenstahl, Fassbinder, Wenders, Trotta, Tykwer and others) from the Weimar period to post-war and post-unification cinema.
Qualifications

Doctorat en allemand / PhD in German.

Excellente connaissance du cinéma allemand et de la théorie cinématographique / Excellent knowledge of German cinema and film theory.

Bonne connaissance de la langue anglaise parlée et écrite / Excellent spoken and written English.

Expérience de l'enseignement du cinéma allemand en anglais / Experience in teaching German cinema in English.

Bilingue (français et anglais) / Bilingual (French and English).

Benefits

Teaching hourly rate: $239.47 (2024-2025).

These rates do not include vacation pay nor statutory pay.

Rates will be applied until a new collective agreement is ratified. Retro will be paid after the ratification.
