Role Description

This position will be working within OES, for Aston Online (in association with Aston University, Birmingham). Aston Online delivers world-class learning through degrees specifically designed for the online student. Each degree is tailored to provide opportunities for students who are often unable to undertake university studies on campus.

As an Online Tutor, you will play a key role in delivering an outstanding MBA experience by:

• Guiding professionals through real-world business challenges
• Facilitating engaging discussions and peer learning
• Helping students apply theory to practical business contexts
• Providing timely feedback and academic support

Our learning model is built on active, collaborative learning that encourages critical thinking, knowledge sharing, and workplace application.

Qualifications

• Subject expertise in a relevant MBA discipline
• Experience teaching or supporting postgraduate learners
• Strong online communication and facilitation skills
• Ability to engage and inspire working professionals
• Confidence using virtual learning environments and digital platforms
• Collaborative, student-centred approach
• Empathy for online learners
• Proactive communication skills

Requirements

• Daily weekday engagement in the Virtual Learning Environment
• Responses to student queries within 24 hours
• Delivery of a weekly two-hour live session
• Commitment to a 16-week module cycle, including teaching and assessment
