Are you an experienced educator passionate about guiding students in an online environment? Pima Medical Institute is seeking a dynamic Online Faculty Instructor to deliver online coursework, engage distant learners, and foster student success.

Qualifications

Masterβs degree or Professional/Doctoral degree (e.g., JD, MD, Ph.D.) from an accredited institution.

Minimum of 18 semester credit hours (or equivalent graduate-level credits) in the specific teaching subject area.

Current license, certification, or professional credential as required by local, state, or federal regulations to practice in the field (where applicable for core program courses).

Prior experience instructing post-secondary courses in an online or asynchronous LMS environment is required.

Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access), LMS platforms, and video-conferencing tools (Zoom, Teams).

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills suitable for digital interaction and remote mentorship.
Requirements

Conduct online courses adhering to established institutional guidelines, technology standards, and curriculum structures.

Provide detailed, constructive feedback on assignments and offer proactive assistance to students struggling with course content.

Actively contribute to retention efforts by contacting disengaged students via phone, email, or text, meticulously documenting outreach in the faculty portal.

Strive to maintain a minimum 70% student success rate across all assigned classes.

Maintain accurate, up-to-date student grades following institutional policy and submit final grades at the end of each sequence to update records and transcripts.

Monitor individual student progress and collaborate with Program Directors and Student Services Coordinators to address academic risks.

Direct non-academic student inquiries (financial aid, transcript requests) to the appropriate campus personnel.

Participate in required in-service activities, faculty meetings, and ongoing professional development to stay informed on educational technology advancements and industry trends.
