Role Description

This is a remote position. We are expanding and looking for passionate, experienced English Tutors to support students across the UK.

Subjects include:

• KS3 English
• 11+ 12+ 13+ English Preparation
• GCSE English Language & Literature
• Creative Writing
• Verbal Reasoning

Key Areas for 11+, KS3 & GCSE:

• Reading comprehension, creative writing & analytical skills
• Essay and extended writing techniques
• Grammar, punctuation & vocabulary development
• Shakespeare, poetry & modern texts
• Creative and transactional writing
• Exam techniques, revision strategies & coursework support

Entrance Exam Board Experience:

• CSSE
• FSCE
• GL Assessment
• Independent school entrance exams
• AQA
• OCR
• Edexcel

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of the UK curriculum for 11+, KS3 & GCSE English
• Previous tutoring or teaching experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to deliver engaging, student-focused online lessons
• Professional online teaching setup with reliable internet
• Commitment to safeguarding and child protection

Requirements

• Successful applicants will be required to complete safer recruitment checks, including an Enhanced DBS check and references.

• Desirable:
• Experience preparing students for grammar and independent school entrance exams
• UK school or tutoring background
• Safeguarding training
• Strong creative writing teaching skills
