Role Description

A different kind of teaching role. Not every teaching environment is built around continuity — this one is. Tutors follow a structured, logic-driven methodology where each session builds on the previous one. You won't be dropping into random classes. Instead, you'll work with students over time, guiding their progress and building familiarity as they move through a defined learning path. Your core responsibilities

• Review lesson material ahead of scheduled sessions.
• Deliver structured, engaging online classes aligned to the curriculum.

• Provide feedback that helps guide measurable improvement.

Qualifications

• A Matric Certificate is required.
• A bachelor's degree is preferred.
• A 120-hour TEFL/TESOL certificate.
• Teaching experience is beneficial, particularly in an online setting.
• Strong spoken and written English with a neutral accent.
• Comfortable using Zoom and standard digital tools.
• Confident managing a virtual classroom environment.

Requirements

• Laptop/PC with Intel® Core™ i5 or higher and 8GB RAM.
• Stable fibre internet with 25 Mbps download/upload minimum (LAN cable connection only).
• Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) that provides 4–5 hours of backup power.
• Separate mini-UPS to keep your fibre router powered during outages.
• Noise-cancelling headset, HD webcam, and a quiet, professional workspace.

Working hours & earnings

• Shift Option 1: Thu – Sun | 00:00 – 04:30 (SAST) - Average monthly earnings: ± R8100.
• Shift Option 2: Sat – Wed | 00:00 – 04:30 (SAST) - Average monthly earnings: ± R9900.
• Additional shifts may be available during the week.
