Role Description

Adjuncts are essential to Liberty University’s mission of Training Champions for Christ. Adjuncts should view their teaching, engagement with students, and scholarship as a means to a significant educational end. They should strive to employ a variety of techniques for the development of good learning conditions, view each student as a unique individual, and provide for individual differences, abilities, and interests.

Liberty University’s School of Education doctoral team is seeking an Online Applied Research Methods Expert. Primary responsibilities will include:

• Supervising doctoral candidates conducting methodologically sound research.
• Reviewing capstone project manuscripts.
• Providing detailed feedback specific to applied research methods.
• Maintaining communication with candidates to ensure compliance with SOE capstone handbook and university policies.

This posting is for remote doctoral chairs positions.

Qualifications

• Applicant must have an EdD or PhD in Education.
• Degree must be from an institution accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
• Pastoral reference letter is required, signed by the Pastor from your current church, dated within 6 months on the church letterhead.
• Two professional reference letters required.
• Full doctrinal compatibility with Liberty University.
• Must demonstrate expertise in qualitative research.
• Superior interpersonal, customer service, presentation, and communication skills required.
• Creative, innovative, and problem-solving skills required.
• Proficiency in MS Office and Canvas.

Requirements

• Preference will be given to candidates with an established record of research evidenced by intellectual and professional contributions to the field through peer-reviewed publication and conference presentations.
• Preference will be given to candidates with capstone, dissertation, or thesis mentorship experience.
• Experience teaching research methods using online learning platforms (e.g., Canvas).
• Candidates must be able to work at a pace that will not delay the progress of a doctoral candidate toward timely completion of the doctoral degree.

• Courses are typically paid at $800 per load hour.
