Role Description
The BSN Online Program is seeking experienced, full-time nursing faculty to support didactic instruction. This role also includes primary teaching responsibilities within the Health Assessment sequence (NR-302 and NR-304), supporting student development in foundational and advanced assessment skills essential for clinical decision-making.
Faculty will teach the following courses:

NR-302: Health Assessment I
-
Introduces foundational principles and techniques of nursing assessment.

Includes patient history taking, interview and communication strategies, and physical examination methods.

Emphasis on conducting comprehensive health assessments incorporating physical, psychosocial, developmental, cultural, and spiritual components.

Laboratory portion supports development of cognitive and psychomotor skills through hands-on practice.

NR-304: Health Assessment II
-
Builds on prior knowledge focusing on application of comprehensive assessment findings to clinical decision-making.

Students learn to identify patient education needs, integrate assessment data, and document findings professionally.

Lab component advances psychomotor competency in assessing various systems with an emphasis on experiential learning.
Evidence-Based Teaching/ Learning and Master Instruction

Takes responsibility for program outcomes by implementing the Collegeโs philosophy, curriculum, and course objectives.

Develops curricular/teaching innovations in the annual preparation and revision of assigned courses.

Assumes responsibility for all autonomous aspects of individual teaching loads.

Monitors clinical agencies for appropriateness for student clinical experiences.
-
Plans clinical experiences and provides direct/indirect supervision and evaluation of nursing students.

Provides oversight for clinical preceptors/mentors and coordinates their evaluation.
-
Provides documented feedback to students on performance based on course outcomes.

Communicates up-to-date information about agency/clinical policies and expectations.

Posts developed clinical assignments consistent with studentsโ knowledge base and learning needs.

Qualifications

Graduate degree in nursing and a doctoral degree in nursing or field of teaching specialty required.

Professional nurse licensure required.

Maintain current regulatory and practice credentials based on assignment.

Excellent communication skills with a high level of initiative and prudent judgment.

Minimum 2 years of full-time teaching experience required.

Must comply with state regulations for teaching within designated specialty.
