Course: Ministerial Ethics

This course examines the biblical and theological foundations of Christian ethics along with an analysis of the roles and responsibilities of gospel ministry. Significant attention is given to self-care, personal morality, and character formation as well as ethical concerns unique to ministers as they lead, equip, shepherd, and intercede for God’s people.

What You Will Do:

• Equip students with the required skill set.
• Facilitate classroom discussions.
• Assess student performance.
• Prepare students to be successful leaders in their chosen profession.
• Facilitate weekly main discussion forums to engage students in the online classroom.
• Adhere to weekly grading requirements, deadlines, and timeframes.
• Respond to students’ questions and emails within the established timeframes.
• Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.

Qualifications

• Minimum: PhD from an accredited college or university in theology or philosophy or ethics.
• At least two years professional experience in ministry or teaching at the postsecondary level.
