[Hiring] Live Education Specialist @School of EMS

Role Description

The Live Education Specialist provides focused administrative and operational support for the successful delivery of live education programs. Primarily responsible for quality assurance reviews of lab paperwork. Refers discrepancies for correction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Audit submitted laboratory paperwork for EMR, EMT, AEMT, and Paramedic programs for completeness, accuracy, and required signatures.
• Maintain accurate documentation for audits and accreditation reviews.
• Generate audit reports summarizing findings.
• Document and refer deficiencies requiring correction, and identify recurring documentation deficiencies.
• Maintain audit tracking logs, and recommend process improvements to increase documentation accuracy.
• Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong computer proficiency preferred.
• Associate degree (AS/AA) from an accredited college or university preferred.
• EMS experience preferred.
• Previous experience in education, quality assurance, compliance, or auditing preferred.
• Experience reviewing documentation preferred.

Skills and Abilities

• Language Ability:
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret education-related material.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
• Math Ability: Ability to calculate figures as they relate to teaching certain topics within the EMS curriculum.
• Reasoning Ability:
  • Ability to solve practical problems and interpret a variety of instructions in different formats.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Computer Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience in the use of audio-visual equipment.

Work Environment

This position generally operates in a professional office, remote, or hybrid work environment. The employee must maintain a professional work environment with appropriate internet access to participate in virtual meetings and communicate with internal and external team members.

Physical Requirements

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and sit. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
