Role Description

The Wage Agency Instructor, under direction, assists in training various specialty skilled and/or semi-skilled courses within the TEEX Workforce Development Programs at the Coastal Bend Occupational Advanced Skills Training (COAST) in Corpus Christi, Texas and the RGV Advanced Manufacturing Hub (RAM) in Brownsville, Texas.

• Utilizes knowledge of adult learning theories and learning styles to help maximize learner success and ensure overall effectiveness of the course instruction.
• Performs online and/or classroom instruction, field-based skills training, and/or may provide technical assistance in a specialty area.
• Uses a variety of media to present course material.
• May assist in creating new and/or updating curriculum content, when necessary, to meet learner needs.
• Works with the Leadership team and ITSI customers to deliver training in and assist in development of TEEX Leadership courses.

This position reports to the Training Manager - ITSI Special Projects.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Four years of experience in a key leadership role, including applicable experience instructing leadership training.
• One year of adult education and/or training.
• Applicants must reside in any of the following counties: Aransas, Bee, Brooks, Cameron, Duval, Hidalgo, Jim Wells, Kenedy, Kleberg, Live Oak, Nueces, Refugio, San Patricio, Starr, and Willacy.
• Must have a valid motor vehicle operator’s license or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.
• Equivalency: Will consider two years of related experience with an Associate's Degree in applicable field from an accredited college or university OR no prior experience with a Bachelor's Degree in applicable field from an accredited college or university.
