[Hiring] Intervention Specialist @Kern County Superintendent of Schools

Role Description

Under general direction, the FCMAT Intervention Specialist will assist in providing guidance and support to California's TK-12 school districts, county offices of education, community colleges and charter schools on a variety of diverse areas including, but not limited to:

• Policy formulation
• Procedural enhancements
• Technical assistance
• Governance matters
• Financial stewardship
• Personnel management
• Facility optimization
• Technological integration
• Business acumen
• Instructional and operational best practices

There is an emphasis on school and college fiscal matters including accounting, budgeting, and financial planning.

The FCMAT Intervention Specialist will also be required to develop training or procedural guidelines for use by local educational agencies (LEAs) and provide professional learning. Extended work assignments throughout the state will be required.

Requirements

• Work location can be anywhere in California (relocation to Kern is not required) and extensive travel required.
• All candidates will be notified by email throughout the hiring process.
• Some positions may require proof of privately owned automobile insurance and the possession of a valid California Motor Vehicle operator's license.
• Fingerprint clearance by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the California Department of Justice is a condition of appointment after all other required job conditions have been met.
• Must present verification of completion of Child Abuse Mandated Reporter training or obtain verification within six (6) weeks of hire and annually thereafter, as required by the California Child Abuse Neglect Reporting Act.
• This position is overtime exempt and has a probationary period of one year.
