Role Description

We are seeking an experienced Instructional Systems Designer (ISD) to support the design and development of engaging learning solutions for a large-scale federal environment. This role will work closely with internal teams and stakeholders to create impactful instructional materials that align with established standards and project goals. The ideal candidate is a strong collaborator with experience developing multiple training formats and translating complex information into effective learning experiences.

Duration: 6-month contract to start, with strong possibility of extension

Work Arrangement: Remote

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with internal teams and stakeholders to understand training requirements and learning objectives
• Design, develop, and update instructional materials and learning assets based on project needs
• Create training deliverables across multiple formats, including:
• Instructor-Led Training (ILT)
• Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT)
• Web-Based Training (WBT)
• Videos
• Job aids and supporting documentation
• Ensure training products meet established standards and maintain a polished, professional, and visually engaging presentation
• Translate complex or technical content into learner-friendly experiences
• Support continuous improvement efforts for training content and delivery methods

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Learning Technologies, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of instructional design experience
• Demonstrated experience with:
• Technical writing
• Converting and modernizing existing training content
• Multimedia technologies
• Authoring tools
• Web-based course development
• Visual design principles
