Role Description
We are looking for a motivated Junior Instructional Designer to join our Learning & Development team. In this role, you will support the design and development of engaging, effective learning experiences across e-learning, blended, and instructor-led formats. Working closely with senior instructional designers, subject matter experts (SMEs), and stakeholders, you will help translate learning needs into well-structured content that drives knowledge retention and performance improvement.
Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with senior instructional designers and SMEs to analyze learning needs and define clear learning objectives.

Design and develop learning materials including storyboards, e-learning modules, job aids, facilitator guides, participant workbooks, and assessments.

Apply adult learning principles, instructional design models (ADDIE, SAM, or similar), and accessibility standards (WCAG) in content development.

Create interactive e-learning courses using authoring tools and ensure content is engaging, concise, and aligned with learning outcomes.

Develop assessments, quizzes, and knowledge checks that effectively measure learner progress.

Review and revise existing learning content for accuracy, clarity, and instructional effectiveness.

Support the implementation of courses on Learning Management Systems (LMS) and assist with basic course publishing and testing.

Gather and incorporate feedback from SMEs, stakeholders, and learners to improve learning solutions.

Maintain organized project documentation, version control, and content libraries.

Stay updated on instructional design best practices, emerging learning technologies, and tools.
Qualifications

5-8 years of hands-on experience in instructional design, e-learning development, or a closely related L&D role.

Working knowledge of instructional design models and adult learning theory.

Experience creating storyboards and developing basic to intermediate e-learning modules.

Proficiency with at least one major authoring tool (Articulate Storyline 360, Rise, Adobe Captivate, or similar).

Strong written communication skills with the ability to write clear, learner-friendly content.

Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and basic multimedia tools.

Understanding of assessment design and basic evaluation methods.

Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a collaborative environment.

Basic knowledge of accessibility and inclusive design principles.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Learning Management Systems (Moodle, Cornerstone, TalentLMS, Docebo, or similar).

Familiarity with graphic design tools (Canva, Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator) or basic video editing.

Exposure to microlearning, scenario-based learning, or gamification elements.

Knowledge of SCORM/xAPI standards.

Experience working in a corporate L&D, edtech, or consulting environment.
Education

Bachelorβs degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Education, Communication, Psychology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
