Role Description

The Global Campus Professor are focused on exceptional learning experiences that emphasize innovative, high quality teaching, a deep commitment to student learning and success, and the cultivation of a supportive and caring academic community. Lead Faculty are in 12 month, ranked, career track positions, not eligible for tenure, with core duties to:

  • Teach asynchronous undergraduate and graduate courses to adult learners.
  • Lead the development of programs and courses.
  • Supervise and mentor associate faculty.
  • Support specialized program accreditation efforts, including NAEYC accreditation.
  • Serve students and the institution to ensure continued improvement toward critical student success goals.

Qualifications

  • Ability to create inclusive, engaging, and supportive online learning environments that foster student success and belonging.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with adult learners of varying academic preparedness levels.
  • Ability to align academic content with workforce needs and industry trends to ensure program relevance and graduate preparedness.
  • Skill in using educational technology and learning management systems to deliver high-quality online instruction and feedback.
  • Ability to interpret student success data and use insights to improve teaching practices and curricular design.
  • Ability to effectively balance teaching, service, and administrative responsibilities in a complex online learning environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the NAEYC Professional Standards and Competencies for Early Childhood Educators.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a capacity to foster student engagement and clarity in a remote learning context.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and balance competing responsibilities within a flexible, evolving work environment.

Requirements

  • Masters degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Child and Family Studies, Curriculum and Instruction, Elementary Education, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
  • Evidence of promise or experience demonstrating adequate training, depth of knowledge in a particular specialty, and capacity to undertake high-quality teaching and service.
  • Familiarity with best practices in teaching and learning, including curriculum development assessment strategies, especially in virtual environments.
  • A collaborative and student-centered approach to leadership and instructional support.
  • Commitment to a student-centered Culture of Care, including proactive outreach, timely feedback, and individualized support.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Earned doctorate and applied professional experience in the field.
  • Experience supporting NAEYC higher education accreditation, accreditation reporting, self-study development, or continuous program improvement.
  • Experience contributing to a strategic vision, increased student success, and growth.
  • Experience working with adult, non-traditional, post-traditional learners.
  • Experience teaching in on-ground and online higher education, including experience in faculty development, instructional design, and continuous improvement.
