Role Description
Nebraska Methodist College seeks experienced online graduate level instructor to teach epidemiology supporting DNP and EdD students. It is an online, 15-week, 3-credit course taught from August 17 - Dec. 11, 2026. There are several scheduled synchronous sessions that faculty lead in support of student learning, but the course is primarily asynchronous.
Prior experience teaching epidemiology is required along with strong public health experience and nursing curriculum knowledge. While the course is developed, the faculty member is part of a team expected to contribute expertise for keeping it current. Experience with Brightspace LMS is a plus! Minimally, candidates must hold a doctoral degree in public health with relevant graduate coursework and experience.

Requirements

Completion of terminal degree deemed appropriate per programmatic needs in the assigned discipline from a regionally accredited institution required, with a minimum of 18 semester hours in content-specific related field; masterβs and/or doctoral degree in related field preferred.

Minimum of one (1) year experience in area relevant to program assignment required; one or more years of experience in teaching at the post-secondary level is preferred.

Where appropriate, Nebraska licensure and national certifications are required of faculty employed at Nebraska Methodist College.
