Role Description
The remote Assistant Principal in our Elementary Campus directs and coordinates educational, administrative, and counseling activities of high school students by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

Ensures conformance of educational programs to state and local school board standards through evaluation, development, and coordination activities.

Researches and implements non-K12 curriculum resources that meet state standards as needed.

Helps articulate the school’s mission and vision to ensure all stakeholders have a common understanding and are positioned to work cooperatively to achieve desired results.

Utilizes communication technologies and practices that effectively support a predominantly virtual/remote work environment.

Ensures that the school meets the needs of students while complying with local, state, and federal laws regarding special education and other categorical programs (such as Title I, LAP, CTE).

Interfaces with students, families, local Municipal Court systems, and local districts regarding compliance related to student attendance and engagement in educational programs as defined by school policy and student handbook expectations.

Develops and oversees implementation of the school’s Student Achievement Improvement Plan.

Supervises and evaluates teaching staff; manages teacher performance, developing and providing necessary training to support their professional development.

Confers with teachers, students, and parents concerning educational and behavioral problems in school.

Coordinates with teacher and K12 Enrollment regarding expulsions and withdrawals.
Qualifications
-
Previous Supervisory Experience
-
Master’s degree AND Five (5) years of educational experience OR Equivalent combination of education and experience

Ability to clear required background check

Ability to travel 20% of the time for meetings, professional development, etc.
