Role Description

Under the direction of the Associate Executive Director-Student Services, the Education Specialist will support the instructional program for all students and provide academic, behavioral, and social intervention services to identified students. The Educational Specialist shall participate as a member of the educational team that:

• Assesses student performance in the areas of disability
• Develops assessment reports
• Identifies student abilities within education, developmental, or functional parameters
• Develops goals and objectives for consideration in the individualized education program (IEP) team meeting
• Maintains appropriate documentation and reports

The selected candidate must reside in California.

Qualifications

• Experience in educational settings
• Knowledge of special education laws and regulations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
