[Hiring] Early Childhood Education Micro-Credential Adjunct Faculty @Ivy Tech Community College

Role Description

The Early Childhood Education Micro-credential adjunct faculty will be responsible for:

• Preparing the micro-credential in Canvas
• Leading a virtual welcome session with participants prior to the start of the micro-credential
• Responding to participant communication
• Monitoring participant progression through the 4-week micro-credential
• Grading assignments
• Assigning a pass/fail and communicating with the Executive Director, Early Childhood Pathways & Initiatives after the conclusion of the micro-credential

Qualifications

• Program Management: Ability to adhere to project timelines and complete assigned tasks
• Relationship Building: Proven capacity to cultivate trust-based partnerships across a broad stakeholder group
• Instructional Design Fluency: Knowledge of early childhood pedagogy, Indiana Core Knowledge and Competencies, virtual training, and adult learning theory
• Strategic Communication: Strong written and verbal communication tailored to diverse audiences (educators, administrators)
• Adaptability & Agility: Capable of thriving in a dynamic, evolving work environment with shifting priorities
• Equity-Centered Mindset: Commitment to inclusive practices that promote access and success in early childhood education

Requirements

• Must meet Program Standard for Ivy Tech’s policy for Faculty Credential Standards
• Knowledge of Indiana’s early care and education landscape, including different auspice types and urban and rural settings
• Expertise with children ages 0-5
