[Hiring] Dyslexia Teacher @Stride, Inc.

Role Description

The Dyslexia Teacher supports students in teaching and meeting their goals and manages the overall learning process for students with IEP/504 dyslexia eligibility. This is a full-time position requiring the ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week, and maintain a professional home office without distraction during work hours.

• Provide dyslexia instruction to identified students.
• Collaborate with students and learning coaches on implementation of IEP/504 plans.
• Evaluate and review student progress on a regular basis throughout the school year, and annually.
• Input student data in appropriate systems and maintain other student records as needed in a compliant manner.
• Participate in regularly scheduled staff meetings, professional development (virtual and face-to-face), and school committees.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education or similar area of study AND three (3) years of related work experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Understanding of applicable sections of the state education laws and other pertinent regulations.
• Communicates effectively both orally and in writing.
• Demonstrates the use of good judgment in decision-making.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook as well as Internet research methods and report writing techniques.
• Ability to travel 20% of the time for work including meetings, supporting in-person testing, and professional development.
• Ability to clear required background check including obtaining fingerprint clearance where applicable.

• Experience supporting adults and children in the use of technology.
• Experience working in a virtual environment.
• Experience teaching in an online (virtual) and/or in a brick-and-mortar environment.
• Experience teaching reading or reading intervention.

Benefits

• The salary for this position is around $51K plus the eligibility of a performance bonus.
