Role Description

The Digital Learning Manager is responsible for the ongoing development of our digital learning environment, ensuring it delivers an engaging and effective learning experience for colleagues and external learners.

  • Combines learning technology expertise with instructional design capability.
  • Works closely with stakeholders to translate learning requirements into effective digital learning solutions.
  • Focuses on the continued development of the learning platform, ensuring it is configured, maintained, and enhanced.
  • Provides leadership, coaching, and technical expertise while driving continuous improvement across digital learning offerings.

What you'll be doing:

  • Act as the SME for the platform, leading ongoing development to align with organisational objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and develop sustainable solutions.
  • Oversee system enhancements, integrations, upgrades, and issue resolution with suppliers and technical teams.
  • Manage the build and maintenance of the Health Partners Academy to support Education and Training teams.
  • Design and develop digital and blended learning programmes using instructional design best practices.
  • Work alongside subject matter experts to produce high-quality storyboards, scripts, and learning content.
  • Review and update existing materials to ensure relevance and effectiveness.
  • Lead reporting and compliance responsibilities, managing year-end audit closure activities for the Clinical Governance Tool.
  • Ensure data integrity through reporting, data validation, anomaly resolution, and system backups.
  • Monitor engagement, completion, and compliance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Create scheduled and ad-hoc learning analytics and compliance reports, ensuring accuracy of learning records.
  • Work closely with the Digital Learning team to support learners, administrators, and stakeholders.
  • Offer guidance and technical support to the Digital Learning Consultant and L&D Apprentice.

Qualifications

  • Expertise in managing and developing LMS platforms, ideally Totara.
  • Strong understanding of instructional design principles.
  • Analytical mindset with experience in reporting, data validation, and compliance monitoring.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams.

Requirements

  • Homebased with occasional travel.
  • Full Time, 37.5 hours per week - This is a maternity cover contract.
