As a Design and Coaching Specialist at Leading Educators, you'll work at the intersection of expert coaching and strategic professional learning design—two powerful forces that directly shape teacher practice and, ultimately, student success. Partner with school leaders, teachers, and instructional teams to implement Illustrative Mathematics with precision and impact.

Blend deep content expertise with sophisticated coaching skills.

Observe classrooms, analyze student work, facilitate professional learning experiences, and design resources tailored to each school's unique context.

Build trusting relationships, ask powerful questions, and co-design solutions with educators.

Use data—classroom observations, student work, feedback, and assessment metrics—to inform decisions.

Continuously learn, adapt, and model what it means to be a committed professional learner.
Qualifications

7+ years of professional experience in education, including teaching, leading instructional practice, or supporting curriculum implementation.

Demonstrated expertise in Grade 6–Secondary mathematics content, with foundational knowledge of K–5 standards.

Proven experience providing coaching to teachers, teacher leaders, or school leaders with documented impact on practice.

Strong skills in designing and facilitating professional learning aligned to curriculum, standards, and observable instructional practice.

Ability to analyze student work, classroom observation data, and instructional artifacts to inform coaching and professional learning decisions.

Established credibility as an instructional leader with the ability to manage school-based relationships with professionalism, reliability, and expertise.

Active practitioner-level fluency with artificial intelligence tools.

Willingness and ability to travel frequently, including bi-weekly local travel to schools and district meetings, plus occasional national travel for organizational retreats and professional development.

Benefits

Base salary range: $100,320 to $127,680 per year.

Standard starting salary: $114,000, adjusted higher for additional relevant experience.
