Role Description

The Virtual Arkansas Content Technician supports the Design & Development team by implementing, updating, and maintaining digital curriculum within the learning management system. This role is responsible for a variety of course-based tasks, including:

• Preparing blueprint courses for upcoming semesters.
• Supporting organization-wide initiatives.
• Assisting with ongoing course updates.

The Content Technician works closely with the Virtual Arkansas Design & Development team to ensure courses are accurate, accessible, consistent, and student-ready. This position requires flexibility, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to evolving project needs.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree or higher in education, instructional technology, or a related field is desired.
• Experience working in a learning management system (LMS) preferred.
• Experience with online course development or digital content creation is preferred.
• Familiarity with accessibility standards and best practices is preferred.
• Demonstration of strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a virtual environment.
• Reliable internet access and use of a personal laptop or desktop computer for work tasks are required.

Benefits

• Compensation: $4,000.00 minus applicable taxes, retirement, and fees.
• Telework from home office.

Other Information

• This position will be hired through the Arch Ford Education Cooperative.
• Periodic travel requirements.
• Physical requirements include prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, as well as the ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
