Role Description

We're looking for a Clinical Trainer to join our Clinical Training Team. The Lifesaving Training Team ensures our lifeboat crews and lifeguards are ready to help save lives at sea through exceptional training. The Clinical Training team supports this by designing and delivering training courses that are aligned to current best clinical practice, ensuring the crews and lifeguards can deliver high levels of evidence-based medical care in the most challenging environments.

• Planning and facilitating the delivery of Clinical Training courses at lifeboat stations across the Wales and West region.
• Delivering Clinical Training courses to lifeguard support centres across the UK and Northern Ireland in the lead up to the summer season.
• Working alongside other Clinical Trainers to develop course content and training materials, ensuring it is matched to best practice.

Please note this role will involve extensive travel and candidates will be expected to stay away from home during training delivery. This travel will be primarily within the Wales and West region, but UK and ROI wide travel will also be required.

Qualifications

• Health Care Professional with relevant clinical experience.
• Confidence in delivering Casualty Care with relevant prehospital clinical experience.
• Previous teaching and/or mentoring experience.
• Award in Education and Training or equivalent.
• HCPC/NMC Registered professional.
• An understanding of the volunteer ethos.
• Willingness to work away from home, including evenings and weekends.

Requirements

• Ability to manage the training and assessment of volunteer lifeboat crew members and lifeguards.
• Logistics of delivering training and assessment in different locations.
• Flexibility and the ability to think on your feet.
