As an adjunct faculty member, you’ll provide program instruction in an online format, incorporating innovative teaching methodologies, cutting-edge technologies, and other industry trends reflecting advancements in your discipline. What You Will Do

• Facilitate weekly main discussion forums to engage students in the online classroom.
• Adhere to weekly grading requirements, deadlines, and timeframes.
• Respond to students’ questions and emails within the established timeframes.
• Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission of Grand Canyon University.

Qualifications

• Preferred: Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction or Doctorate in Instructional Leadership or Doctorate in Elementary Education or Doctorate in Learning and Teaching or Doctorate in Teaching Innovation or Doctorate in Literacy or Doctorate in Reading.
• Minimum: Masters in Education or Masters in Elementary Education or Masters in Curriculum and Instruction or Masters in Literacy or Masters in Reading AND 2 areas of exceptional expertise.
• All instructors must have a valid state teacher certification in Elementary Education with an Endorsement in Early Childhood Education Teaching certificate in early childhood education.
• A minimum of three years of experience as an elementary classroom teacher or elementary instructional specialist or 1-8 team lead or 1-8 department chair or elementary curriculum coach or new teacher mentor of 1-8 teachers.
• At least six graduate credits related to elementary reading or literacy or reading assessment and diagnosis.
