Role Description
In this position, you will assist professors with grading a variety of coursework, including lab reports, quizzes, homework assignments, and exams.

Communicate with your instructor and ask questions about how they want assignments graded prior to starting grading.

Ask for clarification when you are unsure about how to grade a particular item.

Grade papers away from other distractions as they produce inefficient work and can cause changes in grading between students.

Keep all aspects of grading (scores, student names, general performance,β¦) private from others.

When possible, grade the front page, with the name, and then flip all assignments to the next page and grade blind of the owner of each.

Once you have begun grading an assignment or a problem, do not stop until you have finished that portion completely as your mood and level of awareness are likely to influence your grading.

Above all, be fair to each student and be consistent.
Qualifications

Must be a current Bethel Student.

Applicants must have successfully completed the course for which they will be grading, or an equivalent course as determined by the department.
Requirements

Grading may be completed remotely or in any location chosen by the student worker.

Must be able to remain seated for extended periods (2+ hours).
