Role Description
The Career Coach helps ensure that our graduates are job ready by their graduation date. They support the success of the Career Services team by coaching 160-200 students/graduates in group settings and hosting workshops. This role is hands-on coaching, ensuring high-quality service delivery, streamlined processes, and effective problem-solving.
What you will do

Career Coaching & Student Support:

Manage a portfolio of 150β200 students in a group format, with 1:1 office hours as needed.

Provide ongoing career coaching, including support for escalated or reassigned students.

Review resumes, LinkedIn profiles, portfolios, and cover letters, delivering feedback within 24 hours.

Conduct mock HR/cultural fit interviews and assess performance using internal guidelines.

Track student progress in internal systems and proactively flag risks (e.g., disengagement, delays).

Engage the student community by facilitating channels, sharing job market insights, and offering practical guidance.

Host webinars and career events as needed.

Collaborate cross-functionally to improve career services and student experience.

Provide timely, ad hoc career support within a 24-hour response window.

Provide clear, empathetic, and solution-oriented feedback to students and teammates.

Organization & Reliability:

Maintain structured records, manage time effectively, and respond to priorities within 24 hours.

Data & Performance Tracking:

Monitor key metrics and use data to improve coaching outcomes.

Workshops:

Support development and facilitation of career workshops.

Cross-Track Coaching:

Coach across multiple tracks (Software Engineering, QA, Data, Cybersecurity, UX/UI).
Qualifications

2β5 years of experience in a relevant role, such as a career coach, recruiter, HR professional, or hiring manager (experience in executive search or coaching is a strong plus).

Strong understanding of the US job market, including hiring practices, candidate expectations, and cultural nuances.

Excellent English proficiency (C1βC2), both spoken and written.

People-oriented professional who can actively listen, provide structured and constructive feedback, and build trust with candidates.

Able to inspire and motivate individuals or groups of job seekers throughout their job search journey.

Highly organized, detail-oriented, and demonstrate strong ownership and follow-through.

Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice to have: prior experience in the tech industry or working with tech candidates.
