Role Description
The ATP Mentor works in a remote capacity to support Assistive Technology Professionals (ATPs) and/or Rehabilitation Technology Suppliers (RTSs) as they work with customers through all phases of the Complex Rehabilitation Technology service and delivery model. The ATP Mentor aims to expand and improve the skills, knowledge, competency, and productivity of professionals new to the field of Complex Rehabilitation Technology.

Enrich the ATP/RTS ability to gather, problem-solve, and translate relevant data from the customer and clinician into wheelchair seating and technology that best meets the customer’s goals.

Collaborate with the ATP/RTS during the assessment to meet client-centered goals for Complex Rehabilitation Technology while maintaining requisite knowledge of funding and equipment.

Educate ATP/RTS on appropriate selection of equipment in alignment with customer clinical/functional needs, payer requirements, and business best practices.

Educate ATP/RTS about appropriate fit and modification of CRT as it relates to the customer's clinical/functional need.

Educate ATP/RTS to further refine ICD-10 clinical competencies, equipment, and payer knowledge for best practice.

Ensure the ATP/RTS meets consumer, clinician, and caregiver expectations for communication of objective findings, goals for CRT, documentation, and timeliness from evaluation to delivery.

Offer oversight and instruction on efficient, effective order processing skills and the ATP/RTS ability to navigate within Numotion’s ecosystem.

Build the ATP/RTS business acumen through targeted education on equipment selection, payer requirements, comparative margin, etc.

Provide ancillary support to ATP/RTS based on achieved competencies and complexity of assessment or delivery, including but not limited to oversight of custom molding, K0005 specifications, and alternative drive control configuration and use.

Assist the ATP/RTS in reaching optimal performance via identification of developing competencies and connect ATP/RTS to the appropriate subject matter expert for skill building.

Communicate with Director of Sales Operations and ATP Developmental team to the ATP’s/RTS’s progress through Personal Development Profile.

Assist the ATP/RTS in the achievement of assigned sales goals and objectives. Keep abreast of all funding requirements and technological advances within the Rehab Technology industry.

Facilitate the ATP/RTS in meeting all set productivity and performance goals established for the designated period of mentorship.

Qualifications

High school diploma and/or GED.
-
Current Assistive Technology Professional certification.

Minimum two (2) years of experience as a Numotion ATP.

RESNA certification.
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree (preferred).

Clinician (OT, PT, COTA, PTA, RN) or health-related degree (preferred).
Physical Work Requirements

Frequent use of hands, wrists, fingers associated with computer equipment.

Prolonged periods of time working at a desk and/or on a computer.

Occasionally move and reach with arms and hands.
