[Hiring] Assistant/Associate/Professor of Law @Vermont Law and Graduate School

Role Description

Vermont Law and Graduate School (VLGS), a national leader in environmental law and restorative justice, invites applications for two Assistant/Associate Professor non-tenure track, contract appointments to teach in the school’s growing Online Hybrid JD Program. Curricular needs include:

• Criminal Law/Evidence
• Business Associations/Tax

Appointments will begin in July 2027; the precise start date is flexible. This hiring is part of a multi-year strategic hiring plan, and entry-level, junior, and senior lateral candidates will be considered. Candidates should demonstrate evidence of or potential for outstanding scholarly achievement and strong, innovative, and engaged synchronous and asynchronous online teaching.

In addition to teaching, faculty provide service to VLGS and engage with other professionals and the public to contribute to the intellectual exchange of ideas, improve the law, and educate the public about the law, with an eye towards social justice. Remote faculty members are expected to:

• Serve on committees
• Attend virtual campus events
• Be fully engaged in the mission of the school

Benefits

• Salary: $90,000 – 150,000, depending on experience
