[Hiring] Advanced Specialist, Customer Success - Faculty Advisor - Business and Economics @Pearson

Role Description

The Faculty Advisor for Business is a key member of the Faculty Advisory Team within the Pearson North America Higher Education Customer Success Organization. They will strategically identify and partner with key course-level administrators, acting as a pedagogical and subject-matter expert on the alignment of Pearson digital products with instructors’ learning objectives and student outcomes.

This particular position requires expertise and experience in teaching Business & Economics at the college or university level. The Faculty Advisor will have expert-level knowledge of Pearson digital implementation models within courses related to their own teaching/research field and be able to extrapolate those skills into a variety of fields within Business and further apply their mastery to related disciplines that utilize the same core learning tools.

The Faculty Advisor must be able to investigate and respond to questions, offering responses tailored to specific audiences and purposes. They will develop and utilize a set of milestones to effectively track growth and success, using an established rubric and reporting template to facilitate these internal and external discussions.

The Faculty Advisor will also collaborate with other teams to provide insights and feedback from the perspective of an instructor. They will be responsible for equipping faculty at pre-identified accounts with the necessary skills and information they will need to maximize the impact of the Pearson digital product in their course each term, which includes:

• Facilitating face-to-face and virtual trainings or workshops
• Creating implementation-specific product tutorials or videos to support proper rollout and usage

Responsibilities

• Partner with course-level administrators, providing discipline experience and digital product knowledge, to advise on the right integration of Pearson digital products and implementation that will best support teaching and learning goals
• Consult on digital assessment, grading, and reporting strategies
• Provide deep understanding and best practices of instructing with MyLab
• Consult with customers on modifying or creating content
• Create department-specific training resources such as videos, guides, and live as well as recorded webinars as needed
• Consult with product teams to advise on products under development
• Partner with Sales in campaigns, calls and meetings, demonstrations, and other sales enablement initiatives
• Use a set of success metrics and reporting structures to provide customers as well as internal stakeholders with written documentation of the recommendations and evolution of the course design and implementation
• Requires some travel to conduct face-to-face training and implementation workshops as well as attend relevant conferences and internal meetings

Qualifications

• Master's degree in assigned discipline area is required
• At least 5 years of experience at the collegiate level or comparable is required
• Power-user experience with Pearson MyLab preferred
• Additional business education or credentials a plus
• Experience at technical colleges, trade schools, or career and technical education centers a plus
• AACSB knowledge and experience a plus
• Quality Matters knowledge and experience a plus
• Online teaching experience preferred
• LMS Experience preferred
• Experience with Copilot and other Generative AI tools a plus
• Ability to engage with international customers in different time zones a plus
• Experience presenting at conferences, department meetings, and events
• High Achievement: Collegiate Teaching Award(s)

Requirements

• Schedule: 40 hours per week; flexibility to accommodate teaching schedule may be possible
• Salary: $68,000-73,000 annually
• This position is eligible for Pearson’s annual incentive program

• Work Sample Project: Brief video to train on an aspect of MyLab and video to promote a feature of MyLab
• Second interview with Faculty Advisory Services Manager, Faculty Advisors, and/or Product Marketing Specialist if necessary
