[Hiring] Admissions Specialist @Indiana Wesleyan University

Role Description

The Admissions Specialist will verify, review and evaluate application materials for National & Global Education programs in order to determine admission status as well as post acceptance admission file maintenance and updates.

• Evaluate all applicant files for admission.
• Have proficient knowledge of all National & Global programs in order to determine student eligibility into individual programs.
• Enter all transfer work into student information system.
• Coordinate with enrollment areas on application requirements, acceptance issues and current student status.
• Prepare student evaluations on all applicants and ensure the continued accuracy of the evaluation throughout the length of the program.
• Work with academic advising staff to solve credit transfer questions.

Qualifications

• According to Indiana Wesleyan University employment policy all employees must possess a strong Christian commitment and adhere to the standards outlined in the IWU Community Lifestyle Statement.
• High School Diploma.
• Experience in higher education preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.

• Ability to attend to details with a high level of accuracy.
• Sensitivity for managing confidential information.
• Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Analytical thinking skills relating to complicated transcript evaluation.
• Demonstrated ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
• Computer data entry skills.
