Role Description

Responsible for teaching online courses in the College of Business.

• Delivery: online, asynchronous
• Education Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree required in English, English Education, or Communications
  • Master’s degree preferred
• Experience:
  • A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience required
  • Online teaching experience required
  • Experience in Canvas Learning Management System highly desired
• Responsibilities:
  • Courses include:
    • Introduction to College Writing
    • Public Speaking
  • Course set-up and quality review
  • Weekly engagement on discussion board
  • Grading and providing individual feedback to students
  • Regular communication with students and administrators
  • Various administrative functions related to reporting and student engagement
• Application Procedures:
  • Employment will be for the Summer and Fall 2027 semester
  • Applicants must submit a cover letter outlining:
    • The specific courses they are qualified to teach
    • Their direct background creating and teaching in an online setting
    • Their teaching philosophy
  • Applications without a cover letter will not be considered

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in English, English Education, or Communications
• Master’s degree preferred

• Online teaching experience
