Role Description

The Adjunct Global Campus Instructor position is a part-time, temporary adjunct employment opportunity. The Adjunct Global Campus Instructor performs duties relating to online instruction including but not limited to:

• Posting faculty guidance and expectations
• Participating in classroom discussion boards
• Grading assignments
• Promptly responding to student inquiries

This is an online adjunct teaching position, and other duties may be assigned according to experience and qualifications.

Adjunct Global Campus Instructors support high-quality nursing education through effective online teaching, student engagement, and evaluation of learning outcomes consistent with program goals and accreditation standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in nursing (MSN or higher) from an accredited institution.
• Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in at least one U.S. state or jurisdiction.
• Demonstrated professional nursing expertise relevant to assigned course content.
• Current or recent engagement in professional nursing practice (direct or indirect) sufficient to maintain expertise.
• Preparation for online instruction through graduate coursework, professional development, or institutional training.

• Collaborate within the University community to ensure a positive overall experience for all University students.
• Adhere to all faculty requirements such as facilitating and engaging in classroom discussion boards, grading assignments and discussions, and responding to student inquiries in a timely manner.
• One professional development session is required to be completed per course taught.
• Establish Relationships: Creatively use available tools and strategies to enhance relationships and create a community of learners.
• Critical Thinking: Consistently foster critical thinking through challenging students.
• Instructive Feedback to Students: Provide instructive feedback that challenges and inspires students.
• High Expectations: Effectively demonstrate high expectations while holding students accountable.
• Demonstrate Instructor Expertise: Utilize expertise in subject matter effectively and consistently.
• Support achievement of program and course learning outcomes.
• Maintain compliance with institutional policies and accreditation standards.
• Participate in required faculty orientation, training, and evaluation processes.

Benefits

• Rate of Pay: $19.25 - $29.97
• Compensation Type: Hourly at .475 Full-Time Equivalency (FTE)
• Compensation Guidance: Represents the University of Arizona’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation.
