Educate Walden University students using online technology and resources.

Impart knowledge, information, feedback, and critique through thoughtful communication.

Grade assignments, participate in discussions, and respond to student emails.

Utilize technology to enhance the learning experience.

Maintain a respectful environment for students, faculty, and the university.
TRAINING
-
Receive specific training in online teaching techniques and electronic learning platforms.
-
Learn policies, procedures, and degree programs of the School or College.

Socialization into the Walden University culture.
-
Assessment of academic integrity of student work.
-
Research supervision of theses and dissertations.
-
May be assigned a faculty peer mentor during the first term of teaching.
COURSE/TEACHING AVAILABILITY
-
Assigned courses taught using Canvas.
-
Interact with students within Canvas; Discussion Boards open 24/7.
-
Expected to be in the classroom a minimum of 4 days/week.
-
Responses to student questions must be posted within 48 hours.
-
Regular and predictable availability, such as online office hours, is suggested.
Qualifications
-
DNP required.
-
AGACNP certification required.
-
1+ years of teaching experience.
-
1+ years online or technology-enabled instruction experience preferred.
-
At least 1 year of current practice experience as an AGACNP required.
-
RN and APRN License in at least 1 of the 50 states required.
-
Must be willing to acquire a Minnesota RN and APRN license.
-
Must have an adequate computer to handle an electronic learning platform.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint), zip software, and Adobe Acrobat required.

Reliable Internet access and alternate access required.

Significant record of intellectual and professional contributions to the field of Pediatrics.

Commitment to advocating for the learning and development needs of students.
-
Experience with distance learning preferred.

Must maintain licenses and any appropriate certifications to continue teaching.

Expected to maintain currency with research by reviewing articles, journals, and presentations.
Requirements

Faculty Members must be appropriately credentialed and possess an earned degree from an accredited institution.

May be expected to be licensed or license-eligible to teach in specific programs.
Benefits
-
Graduate Course Instruction: $1,560 - $4,080 per Quarter or Semester, depending on the type and length of the course.

Undergraduate Course Instruction: $700 - $2,200 per quarter, depending on the type and length of the course.

Actual pay may be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law.
